The career mode is touted as having the biggest upgrades over past years, and it mostly delivers on its feeling of progression. You’re greeted with a slew of familiar modes as you enter NASCAR Heat 4. Though it doesn’t offer the polish or diversified gameplay of many of its peers, NASCAR Heat 4 continues to build on the improvements of the previous games with its easy-to-learn, hard-to-master driving system and its progressively rewarding career mode, making it a strong racer for NASCAR fans. NASCAR Heat 3 took major strides in improving the foundation for the series, and the new entry makes more improvements to the formula by improving the career and tweaking the gameplay systems. Trades are when you drop one driver for another. Second place receives a smooth $100.00 and third doubles their money and gets $50.00.Įach team you register for “The Showdown” will cost only $25.00, and that includes the team as well as free trades through the year. The person who accumulates the most points at the end of the year (“First Place”) will win $500.00. Roster submissions are due before the start of each race.Įveryone loves getting something for winning, and with The Showdown you will be rewarded for being the best.
For example, your week 3 Las Vegas roster must have at least five of the drivers (or the same eight) from your week 2 Phoenix roster, and so on. Each week thereafter you are are allowed to drop up to three drivers to make your new roster, in which you receive the points that those eight drivers get. You have to keep at least five drivers (or all eight) from your Daytona roster, though. After the first race, you can drop up to three of your eight drivers to make your roster for the race at Phoenix. Once the race is over, you get the points that your eight drivers received. Starting with the Daytona 500 later this month, you pick a roster of eight drivers.
